| Mestre Robson De Jesus is originally from Brazil's first capital, Salvador- Bahia, which is considered by many today as the world’s capital of Capoeira. He first started his career in 1982 under Mestre João de Barros at Ango-Regional. Robson performed with Bale Folclorico da Bahia, the only professional performing arts company in Brazil. At this point Robson began his teaching career. In 1991 Robson was recognized as a professor by Mestre Alabama. Between 1992 and 1994 Robson was performing at Plataforma I in Rio de Janeiro. At the end of 1994 Robson auditioned and became a part of the Scalla Rio, another well known Brazilian performing arts company, in Miami, Florida. After five years of performing and instructing in the Miami area, Robson created Abba Capoeira in 1999. Robson was a pioneer in bringing Capoeira to the Boca Raton area and after a great success he decided to introduce Capoeira to Atlanta. |
